Bromeliad Help
I need some help from some of you bromeliad experts. I've had a bromeliad for about 6 years or so. It blooms on a regular basis, but it never puts out pups from the side. It always develops a pup right in the center after a bloom. I know it's a type that's supposed to pup, because i got it out of a large pot of pups. Is there anyway to encourage it to put out more pups? It's such a pretty one, i'd like to have a pot full.

Re: Bromeliad Help
Try repotting it into a larger container - it might be feeling constricted, which leads to only central pupping because the momma plant doesn't think there's enough space for them, or feels that the soil is depleted and unable to support lots of pups.

Re: Bromeliad Help
Thanks, It's been in that pot for a while. It probably needs new dirt and some fertilize, I've just never had one to do this before.
