I did go ahead and take 5 cuttings for experimentation. I used a regular plastic cup and miracle grow organic potting soil which has mostly spaghnum moss and juicy roots to hopefully stimulate rooting. I also placed the cup right next to the window to keep it a bit cooler than the 74F room temperature.
I know that cuttings root pretty easily if done in the spring time, but it would be nice to see if I can produce some viable cuttings already going into spring. |

Moisture, media, and aeration are all key in rooting.
