Default Birds planted this what is it ?

I let this grow in my garden I have no idea what it is the birds must have been busy again. Than the lady across the way gave me one in a pot. Flowers strated on them the other day. Anyone know what it is ?

It's an amaranth. I used to grow a amaranth that we ate. I'm not sure which one you might have.

I found this information about the plant
