![]() Mitchell. Very nice!!! Be careful, last time a critter stole my pineapple. I think it was a possum as they left the chewed up half way eaten fruit under the banana plants.
Jarred. Great Ananas collection you have going!! Do you sell/trade any of those red leaves and variegated leaves pineapples? Thanks. |

![]() Richard, hopefully one day I'll be able to trade the variegated ones, but for now, not enough! And they grow so slllowww!
But I can definately hook you up with the red kind, the Ananas lucidus. If you can find Ananas mongo, that's a great one, too, but again, I have so very little of them at the moment. Anywhoo, shoot me a PM so we can iron it out on the Lucidus. Mine are in full sun and are really brightly colored, they are nice!

![]() It's ripe when it turns yellow, at least half way minimum! When it's ripe it does have a sweet smell.

![]() Woohoo! Thanks Jared. I'm really looking forward to the plant. I'll get my part out this weekend.
The sweet smell was probably what attracted the possum to my fruit. =) so be careful. Although mine was tiny fruitlet (pot grown) compared to Mitchell. I had just recently planted out about 20 pineapples that were in pots. |
