Default air layering and the 16 oz water bottle

Someone asked me about the air layer Avocado video I posted here. Asking me what was the thing on the branch :-) Well golly it was a 16 oz water bottle. This short clip explains it.. And a little insight into air layering too....

Slaps head! That sure beats my Saran wrap, paper towel and rubber band method. And you reminded me that the best cutting propagation chamber is a green 2 liter "pop" bottle.

HAAAA yes it sure makes life easy when your up a tree and trying to do everything wile balancing on a dagum ladder.
Pop bottles have a use around here after they are empty
I grafted a a few more Avocado and I broke protocol buy using lots of different sizes. We have the perfect weather this week for Avocado grafts to attach and i was grinning last night when I saw the weather was going to be cooler . So... Im happy for once about winter..

I got another basic info video to upload also .

Next few days Im going to a house where I will attempt to air layer a Mango .. Its a fAIRCHILD or lots of people seem to call them Condo Mango because its one you can grow in a container and it will produce fruit.. Mango dont seem to air layer to good but Im going to the top of the canopy and if it works then all is well if not then Ill just collect some bud wood in a few months . Either way Ill be growing a few of them also ..

If all goes well I might have some horseradish to trade for a mango start. That is if you like the stuff... (Hey, I used to have all sorts of stuff to trade or give away but not much right now. I do have an unnamed gardenia I've successfully layered. Plebeian stuff I know...)
