how to freeze the leaves

I'd like to save some leaves for cooking this winter, but is there a certain way to treat them first?
Could it be as simple as wash, roll and freeze??

How do you prepare them for eating? Cook them, how long? How does it taste?

to use them as wrappers, just wash well in hot water to get them pliable. you can cook fish, rice, tamales, lots of things in them. But you don't eat the leaf.

Why not, there's nothing wrong with eating them?

thanks for the washing in hot water tip. My first experience grilling with the leaves is forthcoming soon!

Edit- for question.

When harvesting leafs for cooking, do you use a lower older leaf or a newer one? Does it matter?
