Re: Banana Fries
I keep buying plantains and leaving them too long for my taste so I hand them off to a friend. But I really love unripe (read: barely yellow mostly green) ones sauteed served with gallo pinto (haven't mastered that--same friend makes KA stuff). Go for it! They sound yummy! Report back.

Re: Banana Fries
Plantain chips cut in strips like potato fries. Nothing new. The commercial ones I get here in S FL called Chifles, made by Commercial Plantain Products of Tampa, are freakin outstanding.
So good I don't bother to cook my own any more. So good I switched to the salt free ones. And for me that is saying something. Except when the Ae Ae fruit is ready to harvest. Both dogs love them too. |
