Default Banana chips

Not really a recipe but one of our favorite things to do with extra bananas. Peel bananas and cut into slices about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick, dip them in lemon juice for about 10 seconds and place them in a single layer on your dehydrator tray(you can also do this in your oven on low on a cookie sheet, but I have always used the dehydrator). Let dehydrate until thoroughly dry. Place in a ziplock bag and store in the frigerator. These are great just to eat as a snack or to add to cereal in the morning.

Default Re: Banana chips

I tried this a few weeks ago with some of our remaining Orinoco's using the dehydrator. They turned out great! I am kicking myself for forgetting we even HAVE a dehydrator!
