.org email notifications

When I open a email notification, it says:
..."There may also be other replies waiting for you there, but this will be the only notification you will get until you once again visit the forum."

I get a notification every time someone posts on the same thread. My inbox is loaded w/ email from bananas.org. Is there any way to just get ONE email for each thread?
Anyone else have this problem? I like to be notified but not 20 times in a row for same thread. Thanks

Go to user "User CP". Choose "Edit Options" then "Default Thread Subscription Mode" and select "no email notification"

I only get one e-mail notification until I go back to the thread and visit it, then I get another e-mail notification the next time someone else posts to the thread. That can still mean a lot of e-mails in one day for an active thread if I visit it frequently.

Thanks Harvey, that's the way it should be. If I'm not here for 2 days (even though still signed in), my inbox has a email for every post on any thread I posted to...sometimes well over 40!

I have the same problem, except I get my emails on my phone and it keeps buzzing me and overloading outlook mobile.....

Patty, perhaps setting your default to either "Daily" or "Weekly", instead of "Instant" would help? PLMK
