Lately I've noticed the following when copying a photo link from a gallery into a thread posting: the photo number in the url link doesn't match the photo number in the image link.
For example, I just copied the code for this photo from "Code for bulletin boards" under the photo. If you click on the picture, it will take you to a different photo, although in the same album. |

I had a similar problem, last fall. I intended to reply to this thread yesterday, using a quote from my posting, of last Nov., 'Posting pictures in wiki.' Somehow, I got the quote thing screwed up, and my reply came out as a reply to my old posting, instead of a reply to this thread.
I had uploaded a few pictures to the gallery, in Sept. When I went to put two pictures of Musella lasiocarpa in the wiki, I ran into a problem. The first picture, of a lasiocara flower, went smoothly. I copied the code for wiki, from under my gallery picture, and pasted in the wiki posting. When I clicked on the link, in wiki, I saw the picture. When I copied and pasted the code for wiki, from the second picture, a young lasiocarpa plant, the link showed a picture of apples when clicked on. I then tried copying the code for bulletin board from under the gallery picture, pasted it in the wiki posting, and got not a link, but the actual (correct) picture, right away, without having to click on a link to see it. Wouldn't it be better to just eliminate the code for wiki, and just use the code for bulletin board? Then people, clicking on the posting, in the wiki lasiocapa section, could see the picture immediately, without having to click on anothe link to do so. |

I believe the problem I posted about occurs when a user's gallery sorting preferences are not the default. So for example, if I copy the BB-code from the 3rd photo in an album in my ordering, it gives me code for the third photo from the default ordering.

Thanks for the feedback everyone I will try and get it resolved.
The only real difference between the code for the bulletin board and the code for the wiki is the code for the wiki also includes a line for "credit:" to the picture's author. |
