BTW, off topic but just to say thanks to those members who take the time to view my photos in my gallery and rate them. Everyone should spend time going through others galleries; there are some real gems to see!

Funny thing...we went to French Polynesia and sent 20 post cards for a total cost of about $100...

I think 2 maybe 3 friends/family members acknowledged receiving the post cards...people are so immune to snail mail...they do not even look though their mail anymore and when they do it is like "oh so what"...typically just junk mail...

Post cards are awesome..I send them on every major trip.....frustrating that many people hardly open/read/acknowledge received cards/letters anymore...

I still am having a hard time finding some. When weather clears up I will go to airport - they always sell postcards (or used to).
A lot get lost in mail according to some mailmen here, or they take 2-3 weeks to get there. Postcards were so popular for a long time...but now email.

But I belive that members here are social subgroup of ppl that offen open/read/acknowledge received cards. Well, I hope so

I found mine at Wal_Mart there in the return dept of all places hidden from view.

It may take me a little longer to get my mail (since it's not direct) but I always get it. And Read it

!! Ante's totally right! Getting something from a friend, that's sent by hand, is a Lot better than clicking on an electronic email. My emails are mostly from friends and family and most of them are FW's that weren't even typed by them, anyway.
