All could be quickly resolved be a moderator and IP addresses- then double accounts (if there are any) could be discovered and banned- and Taylor vindicated.


Or the people in question would be proven "real" and then he should be more careful about accusations in the future.

If Eric and/or Seaner is so wonderful I'm sure y'all will be able to continue your friendship. But I'd be careful, there has to be a reason the Mods banned him/them - and I think you are being played. This is starting to sound like a bad "after-school special".

Very easy to use a Proxy server & have a "fake" IP address
Spammers do it all the time
I'm a MOD on another site & we have had several people point out "trolls" & the trolls are banned

One spammer yesterday signed up from "CA, USA"
I replied on the thread (wiped out his spam 1st) & asked him when CA had become part of China
Had another one post location as "SouthEast" - meaning USA
He made a few posts & I inquired which part of the Phillipines he was from

But if you really want to you use a proxy server & no-one will know where you are really from
I have my PC, a laptop & 2 other PC's
I could have all 4 running with different IP's & logged in as different people

I have no idea what went on with Sean/whatever & do not care
Most sites I have PM's turned off
One site one user became extremely upset when I made his hostile PM to me public on no less then 3 forums

Never post anything on any web-site that you do not want made public
Backups, screen prints etc are forever stored on a PC
And NEVER send anything via E-mail or a PM that you do not want made public or forwarded to other people

And don't take life too seriously

Yeah I know people could use different computers to appear as different people- but if there is a multitude of fake users they wouldn't all be tech savvy enough to get around the IP verification. What would be the motivation on a forum like this to go to all that trouble just to fool a few plant enthusists?
I'm just wondering if the IP's have been checked....

Taylor....please....PLEASE move on. All you're doing is causing more turmoil here and dwelling on the past. Accusing innocent members here of being fakes is only going to drive people away from the site, hurt their feelings and make people feel uncomfortable here. Once again....let the MODS do their job (last time I checked, you weren't one).

I talk to Eric regularly, and he is sorry about everything that happened but has moved on and has NO DESIRE to start a new account here.

Moreover, your criteria for accusing these people is VERY lax....phrases like 'I have,' 'I live in,' 'I am,' and 'I joined' are just simple, basic statements telling about a person....something nearly EVERY intro thread has. The spaces between thoughts are just people hitting enter twice to separate their thoughts...again, very common.

Your reasoning here just simply is not sound. And as I said before, you're taking this WAY too far (for the record, how does this affect you in the LEAST anyway). You're being paranoid and delusional here. Let it go....move on with your life....help some people on the site (instead of accusing them of being Eric)....stop policing the site and let the mods do their jobs.

PS...even permabans and IP bans can be gotten around in ways. There will NEVER be a way to ensure that Eric isn't on here, so getting all worked up about it and trying to track down every person that might be him is just superfluous. If a problem arises, the mods will take care of it...this is NOT your problem to worry about. At this point, you are effectively creating a problem where there is none.

Your commentary on everything I do and say is unnecessary and unbecoming. You can stop telling me to move on with your flamboyant capitalization (intended for drama) because I've stopped listening. In no way am I being paranoid and delusional, you are just misinterpreting the situation like you misinterpret a lot of things. Look at the evidence. I never even said it had to be Eric... all I said was that those introductions are freakishly similar. Now, we're all just waiting for the Moderators to check the IP addresses.
