It is nasty wicked business here. -9°C was the lowest temperature at our place. Still. I was hoping for a warmer winter, not an 8a.

Alright, Cassie, wouldn't you happen to have an empty room with a bed that you can't find any use for? Preferably with a view at the beach... I'd be packed within minutes. All my tests are finished now and the next term/semester begins in 2 weeks. What a holiday that would be.

I live in the most southern part so it could be worse...even though it could be much better
I was out today to cover my moso bamboo with some thin plastic for wind protection and to my surprise it was looking pretty good even though it was -10C during the night. Does anybody know how much they can withstand?

I think I would be able to survive winter temperatures of 16C

Hmm , so you don't have true Scandinavian winter, southern part of Sweden has rather English winter

-10 C should rather damage upper part of the plant, but underground should be fine.

Ante you would impressed us much if you shown something this kind:

No, this winter had a coldest one time temperature. Overally, this winter is very, very warm and wet (except for the last week). Don't be surprised to see this winter's average lows among the highest over the decades.

Also... ewwww. I wouldn't wanna be in that temperature. Incredibly unpleasant.

Nast temperatures you've got there Seweryn! The only good thing about this is the sunny weather. Clear blue sky for a week now.

Maybe I haven't expressed precisely enough Jack, but I had on mind temperature extremes not average winter temperature.
Daniel
Yeah the days are sunny indeed, I am not sure my evergreen plant appreciate it too but I do.

Ps. Jag alskar dig it's the only sentence in Swedish I remembered.

I don't know how people can live in climates like that.
All I know is I want to get out of this climate as soon, as possible.

Yeah, Ante, it is very hard... hard to breathe, must take small breathe, otherwise start choke.

BTW. the lowest temperature in CE was registered last night in southern Czech and it was -38C, Polish lowest was -36C.
