Just yesterday I read that 2,5 million Italians below 25 don't want to study at the university and don't want to work. Now that's a number (+ those who can't get a job). Add to that also the fact, that you have a pseudomatriarchal society with highest debt in the world (per capita and ratio compared to GDP - it's above 100% and Italy can't even pay the interests, let alone the debt itself. )

Italy has less interior problems, than Poland.
That's why they can afford the eccentricity.

Correction. Roman soldiers actually couldn't get past 3 major problems: Gals, Germanic tribes and Slavic Pannonia tribes. So if you look at where they actually managed to get and where they built settlements (Vindobona and Acquincum), you'll find out that it was fellas from Panonia (my ancestors ), who held the line against them. The furthest they got in our territory was Laugaricium. They left a scripture on the wall and either died or returned back home.

The Era of Polaks in this region came centuries later.

Ironically, my name has a Latin origin.

I mentioned this in distance context, not in relevance to existence of Polish state or what so ever.
I haven't said ether that Roman Empire had its border at Carpathian M. I just wanted mention they approached to this mountain range (and yes I meant inscription from Trenczyn)
Next I would like to make you aware of fact in IV century Lechities approached south borders of Denmark and Roman Empire put out in V century but YES Poland arose 5 centuries later in X century (A.D. 966)
(Slovakia 15 centuries later)

No problem, always happy to.
It makes me pleasure to watch you list sources.

Don't forget, that shortly after my countrymen instituted the country, they joined Adolf in conquest against non-aric nations (ironically, against themselves as well).
Frankly, I have never been proud of the history we've had (as a nation) and am glad that none of my ancestors actually participated at those events.

But it makes my day to see you search the textbooks and sources again and again. Although I agree with you in almost anything.

Except that Poles have different problems than you listed.

You are welcome Jack, It is not a difficulties to me to find them (the sources) - I always have lots of them in my mind. I even have to restrict myself.

It was rather to get Lebensraum
Yes I know you attacked as in 1939 but you will not provoke me this time...

This is weather thread and other people can feel embarrassed and vexed reading our rubbishes.

Light drizzle, around 10° C, but no wind.
But it'll get colder, but dry next week.

Wet and cold here too, folks. The pond is frozen over except for the de-icer hole, and the waterfall is still running. The fish colors are so intense now; unfortunatley hard to see due to the cloudy ice.

Never fear, the days are getting longer and it's only a month plus a few days until March!

Roses are Red,
Violets are Blue...
I'm sick of snow,
and you should be too!

I know that was ridiculous but I've got nothing better to do tonight than make up silly poetry...

wanna read another?!

No?...ok.

Back to weather...

Tonight it's bitterly cold with the windchill, feeling like -18°C...-0°F!!!

Hope everyone's staying warm. I'm gonna make a hot chocolate with some mini marshmallows and read a new gardening book I bought today. If no one shows up, that is...

So great to have you back, Howard! I missed ya. Can't wait for Spring as well...so I can send you more plants!

Enjoy the weekend, Everybody!
