I think their ultimate goal is Golden Delicious.

You should have known better. I`m starting to worry about you.

I`m planning to order something as well...but it has to be something variegated. Maybe Dwarf Namwah variegated. I love its marbled leaf color.

Why don't you go for an AeAe ?

I saw many auctions on ebay.com

Linda, from what I've read on this forum, Namwah Pearl has a very low chance of surviving in general, it gets worse if it is in unsuitable climate.
I agree with Rick that some other variegated naners would be maybe better in your case.

I actually prefer a Namwah, because there are so many people with AeAes. I`m just speculating on a possible `nana swap in future...
But this is not the only reason. I really love its leaf color.

I know. I think the best variegated musa for me would be Ta Nee variegated. It`s said to be the "hardiest" of all variegated musas. I know a German guy who owns one. So I need something else for a future swap. Do you get the point?

I WANT THEM ALL!

You don`t seem to know the right offers... I would never pay such an amount for a banana.

I know two offers (50$, 70$ / + shipping costs + phytosanitary certificate) that sound a bit more realistic to me. Nevertheless, it will be an amount of nearly 100€...

3 times that amount of money and you have a Slovak pension.
That's sad actually.

The saddest thing is that they are taking too much advantage over European or North americans buyers, because almost every kind of nana in S.E.Asia is so common that is almost infesting and they make it pay you as if it's the last nana on the Earth....
I saw with my own eyes in Indonesia , Malesia and Philippines that there are more banans than inhabitants and especially the cultivar we in Europe consider uncommon, there, is so common like weed.

I hate to pay 40 $ for a nana I can buy loccally for 1$ but there's no solution except to sacrifice myself and go there in person.....

Pss... I think my boss has some suspects about my continuous requests for my company to open a new branch in South East Asia, with me like regional manager..... he thinks I do it to improve my career....Naive Boss that I have...

It`s obvious that they try to make some money with us addicts...but ordering a `nana is cheaper than spending my holidays there.

Still waiting for the V.C corm to get back to work and sprout anything... I was lucky with the G.M. that is growing like crazy but not with the V.C. for the moment....

Ok, it's official.
The Veinte Cohol is dead and gone ! Completely rotten and never sprouted anything to save.
I think I made the lethal mistake not to cut every inch of rotten part once I pull the corm out of the box.....
The worst thing is that now will be more difficult to have another corm from Thailand due to restrictions to Phytosanitary certificate.

I'm, sorry my friends.... I will not be able to keep my promise to send you a pup of Viente Cohol..... at least not in a short period.

Hi, i'm waking up this topic because i receive my veinte cohol yesterday !

Only 7 days of shipment from Thailand, with standard shipping.
