Re: Shops, nurseries... in Europe
That's actually the part that's not problematic at all.

Re: Shops, nurseries... in Europe
Hi, just a quick update....
As you know Thailand market is open again to EU buyers , thanks to reasons that is better not to investigate.... Alson the time needed to treat the bulbs before getting the Phytosanitary certificate had been "magically reduced to one week or less... On the EU stores front, there is Amulree that is putting back in stock a lot of 'nanas previously unavailable, and for the moment the "winter" discount code is still active (50% off everything) so you can buy a lot of plants at 5£ ..... Bananenshop.de and Bananen-freaks.de seem frozen..... no update since last October. If you find anything still in stock , they will not ship untill minimum temps will raise above 0° (and in Germany I don't know when it will happens) Exoticgarten still didn't reply to any mail , not on their shop's mailbox not to their e-bay's one , even if they are currently running a dozen of auctions.... I really don't understand them. Canarius bear in catalog only Dwarf Orinoco and Gran Nain, it's worth to consider if you are interested also in their huge collection of Mangos and Papayas. ATGTREE , ( Home Page) the thai seller that has a lot of variegated Ta-nee and Namwah does not reply to mails. Europalms.be says that they are reclutant to ship plants outside Holland because they fear they could die.... .... so only seeds from them. Lucky palmen has actually 3 ebay's auctions running but hopefully in a near future they'll have ploenty more, so keep an eye on them 'cause I made some very good bargain with them. (In case you buy anything from them , ask them to TAG the plants , otherwise if you buy two o more nanas you'll never know what is what). That's all for the moment. |

Re: Shops, nurseries... in Europe
Thanks Rick for the update:
I just have to add, that I tried to contact Exoticgarden again a few days ago and they also didn't answer this time. In my first mail I didn't ask for international shipment, so that could be the reason why they answered. But it seems to me that they're affraid of international customers or are on holiday now. But anyway it's not nice to not answer. A simple: Sorry we don't ship (internationally) would be okay. In other countries this behavior is quite common (Thailand maybe, Greece for sure), but I didn't except this for a shop in Austria... |

Re: Shops, nurseries... in Europe
hi All,
I am a newbie on this forum but as this thread is a 'sticky', I'd like to tell you -- exoticgarten has already made me 3 shipments this year (to cyprus, not the easiest to ship to!!) with diff nana's & palm seedlings.. They are very nice folks - once replaced 2 pups that didn't make it through the journey! just have a little patience, they seem super busy at times. It helps to speak/write German. On the last 2 shipments, they always gave me presents (extra nana pup or palm seedlings) They also have an ebay shop (ebay.at) with most actual offerings... for those in need, give it a try ! Re: Shops, nurseries... in Europe
Hello everybody ! My name is Tsonyo , im from Bulgaria.
I'm searching for Cardaba Plant from a very long time... and my question is.... Where the hell in the World i can find web site from which i can order Cardaba and can be delivered to Bulgaria ? Please help me ... i asked in so many places , cuz i travel a lot and nobody in Europe can't tell me nothing about this plant.... not even from where i can buy it... 3 mounts ago i've met a woman and she accidentally told me that she has a cardaba banana and i asked if she's going to sold me one pup and she said "Yess" (that was the happiest momonet of my life!) , but there was a huge problem ... when i saw it .... turns out it was nothing but a dwarf cavendish..... damn ! Im still sad about that.... Im going to wait for an answer... cuz i know if there is a place that someone would help me... it's here in this forum. And i want to apoligize for my horrible English Best Regards! And thanks in andvance! |

Re: Shops, nurseries... in Europe
Hey
Just wanted to mention I'd found a place in Sweden that sells Musa Velutina seeds. Not a banana place as such but they do just this one variety. Rosa banan (Musa velutina) - Vägg i Vägg) Works for me, anyway! |
