Default Has Musa Hajaray lost attention?

Hello all of the European friends,

I posted on the banana forum a photo of the flowering of Musa Hajaray.

Contrary to my expectation, it seems, however, no one paid a special attention to it,
that means no reactions were written to the thread.

I suppose the reality and the fact about this banana would be more clear in your region
than USA. That is why I posted on this section.

Would it be about the same on the European section? Then why?

Hello Pallen,

Welcome to my thread about Musa Hjaray.
As you might have known, very little things have been known to us about
this banana.
As far as I know, no photos about its flowering or fruiting have been released
so far, and so I simply thought the flowering of this banana could induce
some kind of interest and attention.

But it seems to me only few people still pay attention to it.

hey asacomm,

I've never heared about the Musa Hajaray can you tell me more about it?

Maybe we could make it more popular if people know why it is a special banane.

In Germany you can get it from frosthartepalmen.de.
The variety is supposed to be more cold resistant.

Hallo boffcheck.
Guten Tag u vielen dank fuer deinen Komments.
in DL. Ich habe auch gekauft diese Banana, aber seher leider,
dass die Firma gabe mich eine falche Sort. Deshalb Ich wunder sehr, ob
die frostharte Banana "Hajaray" wirklich existiert ist.
Ich glaube , dass Niemann richtig antworten kann.

Hello crazy banana,

Do you have some proof that this banana is really cold hardy?
I don't think this banana exist at all, only some nursery sells some varieties
of Namwah or something under the name of "Hajaray".

In case there are some proof of existing of "Hajaray", I do want to see them.

Hello boffcheck,
It is also said that it will grow ca.4m that can be a reason why you cannot
grow inside.

No, unfortunately I do not.
And I think one reason you and I have given ourselves here: I was writing "cold resistant", you said "cold hardy". There is no consistent definition of these terms and anybody can use them as desired.
Cold resistant or cold tolerant in my area could mean some early morning hour frost during the winter causing some leaf damage, but p-stem will survive.
Cold hardy definition is used a lot in connection with Basjoo plants which will even survive an entire frosty night without leaf damage.
I was interested in getting a Hajaray for my folks in Germany, but for now it is postponed, because the plant is not available at frosthartepalmen.de at the moment.

Hi crazy banana,

Thanks for your comment. You are quite wright in saying like that.
But I am only at a loss if "cold tolerant" or "cold hardy" Hajaray really
exists.
