I'd check it out; nothing ventured, nothing gained. I got a total of 30 gallons of that stuff from three spots, but close to 20 just from one of them. I've hit it three or four times, and EVERY TIME, be it Saturday or Sunday, I encounter the same woman who lives next door to the spot, walking her dog back home. It's uncanny. This time, she tried to get me to take all the leaves that were blocking the drain too, LOL. She said it floods the road every time it rains and the woman who lives there won't clean the drain out. I told her I didn't need that stuff, but shoveled all the crap out of the drain anyway, and then tossed it in the biddy's lawn.

Still need some soil to complete and no all of these aren't going in there. In the ground is a tall Orinoco, praying hands and a patupi. In pots are dwarf namwah, dwarf orinoco, zebrina, viente cohol, lacatan, (2) truly tinys, ensete, Blue Java and Sumatrana X-Cross. In that bed I'm going with the VC and Lacatan to round things out, when I get more soil that is.

Looking good!!! I see the Orinoco is taking off!

I'm actually growing my Praying Hands next to my Orinoco's too.
They look very similar because they are both solid green bananas + Praying Hands is supposed to grow just as tall.
The only difference I've noticed is Praying Hands has thicker leaves and the stems are a bit thicker too.

That's a nice collection you're building there btw!

Yes your plant has already thrown out another leaf. I still need to finish one end and get 2 more down, just can't find the time

It's done, plants are thriving and it was more work than I thought it would be. I do need some more soil to level things out but that can wait for now.

Just had a new leaf unfurl today, think it’s finally sorted out that whole leaf choke problem. I’d go out to get a pic but it’s just been raining all day down here

We've been getting it too. I'll get a pic too. It's starting to roll as is everything right now. No losers back there this year

Hey, that's great!

Too bad you didn't live closer; I could part with a wheelbarrow or so of my magic mix, and I found more sand/humus, so there's way more than I'll be able to use. You can buy 70# or 80# of "garden soil" mix at Lowe's for around $11 though. Pretty cheap.

Thanks. I'm close but not that close

And getting the soil isn't the hard part. It's DOING it. So little time and too many unfinished projects. I may have a bit over the next couple of weeks though as Cat Strickland Music (and the rest of the house) is in quarantine
