Default Please suggest where to buy a greenhouse.

I've been doing some reading online, but there are many places where one can buy a greenhouse. Where did you get yours? Anything that you learn from hindsight? Dimensions are not that important (I don't need anything too large), but ease of assembly is. I'm thinking of taking it apart in the summer every year, is that OK? I have a space next to the house on the east side that can accomodate up to 11' width, 30' length, 11' height. Those are pretty much the max, a little smaller is probably better. How do you secure it to the concrete slab, so the wind won't blow it over. What heat source to get? At this time, the greenhouse is mainly for my plumerias, all my bananas are in ground. I'm sure with a greenhouse, I'll be tempted to store more than just plumerias.

Thanks,

Well if you like planting your banana's in the ground you can get a concrete cutter and an electric jackhammer and keep it / them in the ground.

Most kit grenhouses would be to much work to take down every year.

I built my own, about $30 in wood, free windows/glass
It's only about 6' tall inside - dug out

If anyone is interested in instructions and diagrams for bending your own tubing for a greenhouse, let me know.

Consider an enclosed back patio. This way you will have dual use and no need to tear it down every year.

I just scored all the tubing and the tracking to hold the plastic for a 20ft by 30ft hoop house! Never been used!

gonna use 20ft x 8ft of it for our new chicken coop...

The person that gave me the green house tubbing made it for someone that ended up not being able to buy it and he just gave it to me. He has a chicken coop made out of it. its about 7ft high with only the top portion with plastic covering it and then all wrapped in chicken wire with a screen door to go in and out of the coop/run... it was very clean looking and easy to take care of. Don't have to really worry about it getting too cold for the chickens here in florida! :-)
