And I am totally miffed by the lack of response - don't expect me to show any enthusiam for your petty US events - in fact I might not post here ever again - given your insular attitude. There is another world out there believe it or not which amazingly the Europeans and the rest of the world will know about!!! goodbye!!

Actually Cassie, I just saw your posting. Mom and I watched the Thames River procession with great interest, Britain being the mother country and all. I was especially interested to hear that the procession was Prince Charles' idea. Fits with him being a strong historical buff. Now I'll have to DVR the rest of the celebrations so Mom can see them too. Congratulations to Queen E. 2 on her Diamond Jubilee! I wonder if she had not been a royal what she would have done as her career. Interesting. (And Cassie, stay with us. One's own events always seem grand, but no one's are petty.)

Howard you are a star in spite of your problems - you help me too! I was just too emotional because I love my country and the Royal family - so sorry for the freaky moment - I am quite stable really!!

We go down for the 5 hour drive to the Embassy in Santo Domingo on Tuesday for a mega fiesta for the birthday and jubilee - the weather is hot 100f and the dress is formal!! I have found something to wear and Jim can fit into his DJ - I have new
acrylic nails which means I can do nothing as I usually have gardeners hands - need I say more?

should be a lovely time

watch thiss space!!! lol

My first time seeing this too. I was expecting to open this and see a Sex Pistols video.

Well enjoy your formal wear and take some pics!

Congratulations on what? This is nothing but a glorified hierarchy leaching wealth of others.

Take responsibility for the genocide in australia and the contributed genocide being Comited in australia and other countries around the world in the name of the queen.

Could harp on for ages but will politely ask you to keep your monarchist views away from this forum as its an insult to all those who have lost their families and culture at the hands if the royal family.

I'm here to learn, share and meet others intrested in banana and home gardening in general and should not have to read this.

with care

Proud australian living on darukk and kattung country

Well I don't intend to argue with sad and miserable losers - so don't bother to reply as i won't be checking in. Is there such a thing as a proud Australian?

Hmmmm yes I just wonder what the reaction would have been if dboo starting slagging off the USA rather than the royal family?

Anyway, I'm a believer in free speech and as such will allow him/her their point of view, no matter how misplaced and offensive it is. I do object to him/her telling others where to go, however.

This thread is in the wrong place, though. Could the moderators move it to Tiki Hut or somewhere more appropriate?

Still, a somewhat (!) nasty response from dboo when Cassie was wound up in positive feelings of patriotism. We have always striven to avoid these types of arguments. In spite of dboo's statement, there was nothing polite in his posting, and I think he owes Cassie and the rest of us an apology. We don't take kindly to nasty attacks on our members.

God spare us from Charles and his mistress's rule,

It was very nice for Lizzie's Jubilee, this week its the turn of her actually coming to the throne in 1953.

She has again promised to honour her people and never abdicate...phew, thats a relief.

Long live Elizebeth11
