i add the remnants from fires to my compost to do the same thing biochar is cool stuff

Works great for sandy soils.

Good way to get rid of palm fronds.

It depends on which banana and the situation.

It's a soil amendment that can be used with many other soil amendments.

I use it with grass & compost to bind the excess nutrients and it also helps

keep the soil loose for the next 100 years.

I would like to learn more about if it has any beneficial effects on corm rot,

anecdotally it appears to be positive.

cinci, grass & biochar has been used for thousands of years

I am going to use that stuff on all my plants, seems like a good supplement.
I am always looking for cutting edge technology that will grow my plants bigger , stronger and bester:08:
Years ago I would use the spent charcoal from the many canister filters on my aquariums as a soil supplement it was Ohio biochar.
The stuff works.
Henry Ford had some good ideas with it also. Kingsford charcoal.
