Default Fertilizers and soil amendments

These are a few of the fertilizers and soil amendments I use. Not all are intended for bananas.

Same here I need to use some up before I buy anymore.

I have some other stuff too. I'm thinking of putting it on my trees. Everything should grow good this spring.

Hey Sherry, what's the official date for spring anyway?

I am beginning to think we are all a victim of the fertiziler industry. When
i was young almost everybody here had a vegetable garden with cut flowers. I still wonder how they did it without all those fertilizers. I guess
every plant got the same food...something organic.

Hiya Re: Fertilizers and soil amendments

My favorite is Dutch Nutrient Formula. It's organic, water-soluble, odorless, and amazing...

I use a blend for seedlings & cuttings, and also for my flowers, veggies & fruits.

That's right Cam, because roots are what take in the fertilizer...so if there are no roots, there can be no uptake of nutrients.

Foliage feeding is becoming popular though now too.

I also enjoy Blood & Bonemeal as another wonderful organic fertilizer...although the box I have is too ratty and used looking to show pics!

I enjoy eggshells for slow-release calcium, and Epsom salts are a personal favorite too.

Sheep & Cow manure and Peat Moss are what I use as garden soil fertilizers and amendments...not to mention "Black Earth".
