Default Whats wrong with these banana plants? Don't have a clue.

Is this a humidity problem? nutrient problem? They are permanently indoors and this has been going on for months. The new leaves start off ok but end up like this after a week or so. sux!

Are they in pots in doors (silly question) It looks like a nutrient deficiency. There was a really good break down of nutrient deficiencies and what they looked like in tomato plants (I know they aren't tomato plants). If you can find it in the hydroponics section it's very good.

Are they near any source of heat? (radiator, hydronic or electric baseboard, HVAC duct)

they are under 1600W of indoor grow lights. i thought that maybe the light was burning them, but i dont think this is the case since just about every plant has this problem, regardless of distance from the light source.

i did add a calcium magnesium supplement to the hydroponic nutes that i mix up for them. it didnt seem to make much of an improvement though. i was thinking that the rockwool media i am using was locking out some nutrients. it seems to be a magnesium problem.

what kind of humidity are they in? The ones at church burn up around the edges although not quite as bad as that, in the winter. Also could your fertilizer be too concentrated? it almost looks like it could be fertilizer burn too.

My vote is on a humidity issue... Are you running any type of humidifier?
Bananas hate dry indoor air... Humidifier really helps with spider mites also!!! Not seen a single one since bringing in my bananas about 6 weeks ago...
