Transplanting suckers
 
I had read somewhere that you can transplant the suckers as long as you get a piece of root with it when you remove it. How long should I wait before I try removing a sucker? One just popped up overnight and a friend wants it.

I myself, wait till there least a foot tall or bigger.

Okay thank you I was kind of figuring it needed time to form a root ball.
