Re: Took my bananas outside. Is there now a problem?
Do they drain well? Too much Sun, shade them a little till there get use to the bright Sun. Let them dry out some between watering's. Don't over fertilize in pots.

They are under the house and should be getting some shade. They need more?
They're in a pourous plant bag and there's a mix of sand in the soil to help. Drainage shouldn't be an issue. |

Great post We have not sen you in a while?
For me looks pretty normal. Plants brought outside need time to adjust to temps as well as lighting differences. And they will look bad... Many times the plants will sort themselves out in 30+days. Of course do not give them more water......they just need to settle in for a bit. |

sun is hitting the sides of the pots cooking the roots, you need to put something around the pots to block the sun

The brown spots blotches on the leaves is minor sunburn. It will eventually dry up even further. I wouldn’t move them though. Damage is done. Any new leaves will be green and ok.
I agree the roots can get hot! It won’t kill the plant but it will slow growth and waste the growing area around the edge! I saw a guy who had a huge bird of paradise in a pot similar size to yours. He had wrapped the outside of the pot in Mylar! You could see it and notice it from a long ways away! Lol. It looked different and cool though. I was asking myself if he did it to reduce the heat? It should work some wouldn’t it? It was different for sure!! Haha. |
