Short Double Mahoi
I have a 3 year old double mahoi that is in a 50 gallon pot that is 3' tall but is not getting any taller but is putting out leafs like crazy. The circumference at the base is 21" and 16" at the top of the p-stem. I was just curious if the height maybe stunted because it is in a pot and is it possible that it could flower at this height. It is kept in my sunroom that stays about 60F at night and can get up to 80's to 90's and 100% humidity if I don't turn on the exhaust fan when it is hot. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Short Double Mahoi
Thats a nice looking plant. Weird that it seems far too short yet to flower yet its super fat and kinda seems to be stacking leaves. They usually flower around 5' the first time so you probably have a while to wait although plant looks fantastic so I wouldn't change what you're doing.

Re: Short Double Mahoi
i agree it looks very happy so obviously you are taking good care of it. So far in my opinion, double mahoi seems like one that doesn't get so big but will get very fat stems. Just what you're finding out too. It normally takes us around 4 years to get one to bloom here in Indiana. so you might have a while to go.
