"Seed leaves"

Hi, I've been growing Snow, Himalayan, and Abyssinian bananas from seed in SW England. Now they're outdoors in the daytime (in pots) and they're enjoying the sunshine, but their earliest, smallest leaves are breaking or wilting. I'm assuming that's normal, they're not as strong as the main leaves and are like the seed leaves on other plants.

What I'd like to know is: is it better to let them just dry out and fall off, or is it better to cut them off and let the plant concentrate on the newer leaves?

Cut them. It's just more esthetic.

Thanks - I figure it's also easier on the plant than it trying to keep the busted leaves going.
