Repotting a kavendish

When I brought the plant inside
The kavendish pot looked
Like was wet but..
Haven't water the plants in a while
So decided to repotting..
And I was right the plant
Came straight from
Greenhouse with their soil
It was too wet, some of the roots were dead....
so, Followed suggestion from members of this Forum. 50/50 perlite, peatmoss, and also I add a teaspoon of mycorizzae mix,
Also I washed the roots in a solution of water /bleach in case of fungus rot
Hope I did it right..
Repotting

Repotting

hi
key rule with bananas is to not overwater them as they rot so quickly its stupid. cut of the dead roots and don't water the plant for a while. u did what I would have done. u could get a soil moisture testing kit (cheap off amazon) it gives you an idea when to water to make sure you don't rot the bananas. so good luck!

If any of the corm is still hard and white looking and any white roots repot those. You might get a new spout from a rhizome or corm node. ... I've seen this happen for me 3 different times for a new plant.

Check Canadian Tire. I have seen plants labelled as Dwarf Cavendish the last 3 times I have been in there this summer. In the houseplant section. Also, Tropic of Canada sells a few varieties you might be interested in .....can't remember if DC is one of them or not.... We specialize in tropical, food bearing plants, that will grow and thrive in the Canadian environment.
