Your plants look great! I have seen a lot of pictures of plants brought in for the winter. Many of those plants slowly go down hill for a variety of reasons, mainly lack of light. Your plants look amazing! You did all the right things.

I think that is a problem for most of us. Not enough bananas.

Thank You!!!
just kept them watered and fertilized, and of course light, you can see the doors, south and west facing.

Most said to cut way back on watering, but when I did that they would start drooping and wilting, so I gave them a cup or two every two - three days.

My fear is , what are they going to do when I move them outside, and / or try to repot them, or may be plant them in the ground?

As a general rule yes, reduce watering over the winter. You got away with it and probably benefited from the extra water for 3 reasons.

#1 your plants are good sized and in small pots. Probably quite root bound.
#2 your plants continued growing and used the water.
#3 your plants have a good number of leaves to evaporate extra water.

Only risk I see moving plants outside would be sunburn of the leaves. You could help that by moving in stages. Shaded area for a week. Sun shade split for a week. Then full sun after that.

plants look great. must be photodoctored. I agree with edwmax who needs salt and pepper shakers.

Thank You all very much !!!
no photodoctoring here. can you do that with plants?

These are supposed to be Musa Basjoo's, but I don't know how to tell.

I have some others (not in pots) that were id'd on here by the fruit as Orinoco ,
but they all kinda look the same to me.
last year was my first year to grow banana plants,, looking forward to this year.

if it ever warms up enough here to plant them,, Geezzz.. S E Missouri

Did those doors get much use that winter? I have a similar south facing door/window I thought might be a good place for a couple naners in winter... I also have a dog that likes to be let out to pee :ha: wasn't sure how they'd like those daily bursts of cold air... looks like yours weren't bothered at all:08:
