For the past several years, I've been using the Stokes Tropicals 6-2-12 banana food for my Gros Michel and Blue Java plants. Don't use much when they're indoors during those cold winter months, but I still do use a little now and then.
Well, Stokes appears to no longer sell it (out of business? Can't tell -- either way, I can't get the fertilizer). It's the only banana food I'd been using since they were small plants. I know just about anything works on a banana, but I'd like a solid recommendation for a Gros Michel and Blue Java that's indoors in a pot for an Ohio winter and then in the ground for the summer. Thanks |

For potted plants, it is better to include large amounts of calcium and magnesium:
Peter's Excel 15-5-15 Cal-Mag fertilizer (completely soluble): https://www.greenhousemegastore.com/...tilizer-25-bag Chem-Gro 10-8-22 (not completely soluble): https://hydro-gardens.com/product/ho...s-bag-10-8-22/ |
