musa margarita with streaks

Check out this margarita with streaks on it. I don't know if it'll stay that way, I'd probably think not, but it's pretty for now. It's about a foot tall in a gallon pot. I've had other tc's that started out streaky, but they all reverted back to plain leaf.
I guess it's hard for them to tell which ones will turn out yellow and be margarita and which ones will be siam ruby because three of mine out of 18 have turned out to be siam ruby as they got older so far. And then this one.

margaritas and siams are easy once you get them dialed in. They like a little less water like an ensete, and less fertilizer. they are a little pickier about temps too. They like a narrow range, not too hot not too cold. There's no dog around --that I know of, anyway. It's in the "poolhouse" in a container.

Guess what! I think I've got a good one here. It's still streaky on the leaves even though it's getting a little bigger and older--It's throwing up a pup now and momma's about three and a half feet tall--and the new pup has a streaked leaf too!

I have noticed that some types of variegated bananas will put out solid green younger leaves that develop more variegation with more sun exposure and age, while there are others that will put out variegated younger leaves that wash out to solid green with more sun exposure and age. AEAEs are unique in that they will maintain their stark white/green contrast regardless of sun exposure, but burn in full sun. I have found that most variegated Bananas look their best when grown in roughly 50% shade, though it will delay or prevent fruiting. Even when the variegation washes out in the sun or shade, It should return when you put it back in the opposite conditions.
