How much light would your banana receive naturally and do you plan to supplement that? Since you're talking about growing a banana inside I'm assuming, perhaps stupidly, that she must spend her entire life inside; I suspect I'm wrong and your pot will get some outside exposure. Please clarify by putting your location in your profile so others may better assist you. (I live in FL now but spent many years in MD. I did grow "houseplants" there but they were very pampered in that they wintered on a ledge in front of an 8' south facing window so I harvested Calamondin oranges and my snake plant bloomed. PU! I never considered growing bananas then but probably should have.)
