grow light configuration
I am goint to try using T5HO bulbs for the first time.
However, I am pretty clueless as to what distance from the plants I should be using. And how close is too close? My set up does not allow for easy height adjustments, so it would be great if I figured this out before putting everything in place. Which I need to do ASAP Fixture is 2 bulbs : 54W , 6500K I am growing naners (of course), but also other tropicals: coleus elephant ears hibiscus etc So I am wondering if different plants will want more/less of the T5HO lighting. |

Re: grow light configuration
Start at 1 meter above the bananas. The others can be lower since in nature they are substory plants.

Re: grow light configuration
Fluorescents don't get hot enough to burn the plants, anyway, so they can grow right into the lights without causing damage.
