Default Getting Ice Cream (Namwah type) 2nd Year to fruit?

Hey everyone,
I have an Ice Cream banana plant in a 30 gal smart pot that made it through the winter ok in my basement. Just moved it back outside. Right now it looks a bit rough, but still very much alive. It spent all last year outside in full sun and stands about 10' in height from pot base to the top of pseudostem, and about 6-7' pseudostem. I'm planning on planting it in the ground, but 8 months is about all it'll have before it gets cold again. I suppose I can dig it up, but honestly, it was already almost too big to fit last winter. Many bananas can reach a harvestable stage in about 14-18 months depending on variety. I don't have much experience with bananas, especially with fruiting though. I'm really hoping to get it to fruit this year *fingers crossed* Any advice or comments about fruiting Ice Cream would be really appreciated. Thanks!
