Fruit not growing, remove the pups?

I have two Gran Nain banana plants in 40 gallon containers. Both have fruit, but it doesn't seem like the fruit is getting any bigger. It's been 2 months and I haven't noticed any growth. The pups, however, are doing great. Should I remove them all to get the fruit to finish, or am I just being impatient? This is my first attempt at growing bananas, so any help would be appreciated.

Re: Fruit not growing, remove the pups?

There are a number of reasons the fruit growth may have appeared to stall, but you are also impatient, In perfection conditions it takes 3-4months, so in your conditions as cooler weather is coming, it could be longer. Leave on as long as possible, but if a frost is coming, harvest immediately, they will still ripen almost no matter what size they get to be.

Do not remove any pups at this point, it would be detrimental to the plant and will not help anything.
