I think the most to think about is having a pot large enough and that it drains well. Don't over water in the dormant season.

Iowa is correct......Do not overwater......easy to do.:08:

Clay will dry out faster and will require more attention but they look so good ...don't they

For me I use plastic landscape containers( not pretty) but they fit into a more decorative pot when need be.. and are interchangeable.

Clay is a solid choice for a small plant...what size are your plants 2, 3, gallon size?

I have no idea what you have?

For the bigger ones....plastic.

Please let us know what you have chosen to do.

Your thread is a keeper

I went with plastic containers. About 2.5-3 gallon i think. I have 2 musa dwarf Brazilians. I am looking into getting some smaller varieties as well in the future.

I, too, will plant Bananas indoors. They are from my plants (pups) outdoors. All of my plants have banana pods but the bananas are very tiny, so I am doing something wrong. :ha:

I have a very large clay pot as well as plastic, so I will see which does the best.
