i just got some hard nursery containers in a bigger size... free woohoo
when it comes to moving them around i would say the hard containers are less likely to damage roots
the bags can squish out of shape
container of choice? i dunno... but i am using some right now....

anyhow here are some visitors to the monarda

I am just getting a feel for growing this stuff but I have a good start on a Blue java, it's 4 feet tall and half a foot in diameter. I will have to move it indoors into a temporary pot home until spring. Winters can reach single digits but in the 10's is more common.

i will leave it out a little while longer and wait for the weather to affect it a bit
then dig it up and bring it inside as i dont think it is big and established enough to make it outside
