i just got some hard nursery containers in a bigger size... free woohoo

kind of chilly out there this morning...
check out the pstem growing on the thai black wide leaves on the dwarf green... it is in the foreground though lacatan at the left, dwarf green with orinoco behind it, namwa hopefully and thai black on the right side thats the basjoo on the left in front of the rose of sharon hibiscus raccoons, squirrels and whoever else always get the grapes the night they are close to ripe peak season pics? i wont be able to update for a short while post pics soon enough though Last edited by subsonicdrone : 09-26-2019 at 08:27 AM. |

just saw the backyard for the first time in a while...things have grown
since posting last i have 4 new varieties woohoo ensete ventricosum large seed germinated while i was away and someone was kind enough to pot them up... they are doing well! traded plants with JP... brought home poquito and dwarf cavendish possibly i will take pics when they get bigger...still need to pot them up i also brought home a banana plant which was bought within a cluster of flowers by my great uncle some pics from the backyard just now.... by the way... i saw banana plants in wolfville nova scotia while i was away! |

I am just getting a feel for growing this stuff but I have a good start on a Blue java, it's 4 feet tall and half a foot in diameter. I will have to move it indoors into a temporary pot home until spring. Winters can reach single digits but in the 10's is more common.
