Default What To Do About Rot?

Hi all,

It seems that I overwatered my Abyssinian. I noticed the new still curled leaf wasn't growing and upon inspection saw that the bas was mushy. I cut it off and also removed three other leaves that had mushy bases.

How much should I remove? Should I change the potting soil? Cut it all off? Throw it away and get another?

The plant is indoors, in a pot and grown with a lot of light and humidity.

Thanks so much!
Eric
