Default What did I do wrong with my baby bananas?

They've gotten no new leaves since I got them. They just drooped and look unhappy. I water them when the soil feels dry 1 inch down, they are in direct sunlight here in florida. I gave them a little bit of 8-10-8 fertilizer to see if that would help and still now luck. The leaves are curling and getting a little crusty at the ends. I can't figure out how to attach pictures to my post but I uploaded some to my gallery.

What variety? Where did you get them? How long have you had them?

Some of my transplanted babies started growing within 2-3 days. Showing signs of a new cigar leaf within 5 days and another putting on a lot of size on its pstem. My largest banana I transplanted straight to the ground has shown no new growth. Try to stay patient. If it’s been more than 21 days transferring to a soil with mostly organic compost and perilite and giving fresh water could give you a big change.

I’m in Florida btw.

Get the plants out of the sun and under some shade; bright light but no direct sun. Next water only when the mid and bottom of the pot is near dry. .... Fertilizer, a tablespoon of slow release is enough for 3 or 4 months. ... This going to take a while for the plants to fix themselves and before you will see any results.
