![]() I am new to the bananas forum (and basically new to forums in general), so hope this turns out okay. I have a Dwarf Orinoco in a pot, and occasionally when new leaves unfold they are splotchy and have curled edges, which turn brown and dry out, making an old looking leaf from in a couple days. Can anyone tell me what might be causing this? I posted a picture in my "gallery", as instructed.

![]() Did you just fertilize by any chance?
![]() Fertilizer burn was the closest I could find in https://www.flickr.com/photos/scotne...7626485893557/ I had a leaf like that twice last year, I thought it was cold damage at the time. It was late in the year and the night temp was starting to dip down a little. |

![]() Thanks for your input, but fertilizer not the problem. From your pic, it looks similar, but mine is on a newly emerging leaf as opposed to older leaves. This has happened 3 times total on two plants at different times and situations. They are afternoon shaded and our weather has cooled from the HOT summer temps. Soil was still slightly damp under the mulch, but I suppose it could have needed water a little earlier in the day. I am keeping a journal to hopefully see patterns to these mysteries as time goes on.

![]() Looks like when I spray the cigar leaf with neem, then the plant gets a bit too much sun before drying off.
