Default Stunted growth/odd unfurling of leaves

I planted a small stand of apple bananas last year.

Hawaii, windward side, <500’ in cinder soil and well mulched.

The other bananas are growing well.

The stand was planted on uneven ground with this banana planted at the upper end (less moisture), with no protection from the afternoon sun.

I have begun supplemental watering for this particular banana, but am prepared to remove it if necessary.

I’m hoping that this problem is due to growing conditions or an insect and not bbtv or some other incurable disease.

Pictures are posted on my profile due to website limitations.

Thank you for your time!

Well, I’d like to upload pics directly from my device.

If I get more desperate for an answer, I guess I’ll do what it takes.

Nice talking to you all.

Welcome to the boards! I wish I could grow bananas in Hawaii.

Any way you can host your photos on a site like imgur?

My guess is your pics are too large for the website. That is the most common issue. It looks like they are going thru but they don't. Get them down around 1 meg and try again. If you do not see the red process button, they are likely too big.

Varieties I supposedly bought: Manzano, Cavendish, Blue Java, Sweetheart, and Gros Michel.
What it seems I actually have: Brazilian, Cavendish, Namwah, Dwarf Red, Gros Michel, Pisang Ceylon, Veinte Cohol and SH 3640, and American Goldfinger. FHIA 1, Paggi and FHIA 17... Always room for one more.
