Question Strange objects in my nana pot.

Pretty much on the surface of the soil in the pot where my banana sits are these spherical almost transparent objects the size of bbs or larger. I picked up and gently squeezed to see if it was some sort of odd pebble that came in the mix. Instead it burst and the fluid shot right into my eye! Man! that burned pretty bad. So what do you guys think they are? My guess is a spider egg but I have never seen them like these before.

Thanks for the info guys I have never seen time release fert before. I'm relieved to know that it's not an infestation. I will say this though. I don't recall seeing those pellets before in my mix. That explains why it burned when I got it in my eye lol.
