Default Stinging caterpillars on bananas!

Anyone find stinging caterpillars on banana plants? This is the time of year when those awful buck moth caterpillars start feeding on plants especially Oaks and palms. The sting can be very painful to the point you feel like you may die. These are dangerous nasty pests. I have not seen any yet here in south Florida. In New Orleans some years there are more buck moth caterpillars than people and they often fall from Oak trees onto your head. An umbrella is often useful for shielding you from more than just rain this time of year!
