I still have plants that have not recovered from overwintering. Some have only grown two or three leaves. Is there anyway to snap them out of this I have been gone alot and it has not rained much but others in my yard are doing well. Thanks

What kind are they and are they in the ground or in pots?

They are all in ground,some were potted for winter,most were left out unprotected but they always come back strong. Kru,Black thai,viente cohol,and ice cream. Funny a very hardy unknown i have just came up two weeks ago,never would of guessed the corm was still alive.

There seems to be a couple of issues I potted a few large stems and brought them in overwinter they grew maybe a couple leaves and looked promising but just never started rapid growth once put outside.

some matts outside that die back could have a possible overcrowding thing happening instead of one or two big stems I have five or six small plants.

The viente cohol has grown about seven leaves since put outside and has not gained one inch of height very unusual.

Basically my plants from last season that i overwintered inside are still growing like there in winter mode, Water and sun and light fertilizing doesnt seem to do anything.

Are the entire mats growing slowly? I have the same problem with some of my bananas, where the previous year's stalk gets killed back and comes back slowly. These stalks usually grow a handful of small leaves and never really look impressive. However, I normally get a few pups around the old stalks that grow well. Perhaps the soil has just been exhausted around the bananas?

It is possible the soil is exhausted,dont know,yes the whole matt is slow no big leader just five or six plants.

I do find it strange that the viente cohol has grown seven leaves now and is still the same height as it was last year about 20 inches.

I am wondering If i should dig the slow matts up and leave just one plant to maybe get one big stem that will pup.
