Sick banana tree after transplant

Hi guys, I've been lurking for a while hoping to find the answer to my question but I haven't found it yet. I'm hoping you can help me!

A few months ago I got given a banana tree from a lady at work a few months ago who has a few of them in her garden. It went through a but if transplant shock and I've popped it in the greenhouse as it is winter here in Melbourne (Australia ) it hasn't gotten any better, but it hasn't gotten any worse since moving it there. It hasn't grown and I can't see any new leaves coming through (I'm hoping it's hibernating?) the stem feels thick and alive. I did cut off the leaves on it to help it not get so much shock.

I'm hoping you can shed some light on what I need to do and if you guys think it can be saved. Thankyou!

looks like it is trying to adjust to all it's been through. the green leaf on top is a good sign as it seems to be healthy even as it has been cut.
don't know your zone etc.
looks like your biggest problem is going to be it's height after it puts out a few new leaves.
don't cut anymore leaves that have any green on them, if they are green they are still viable and absorbing energy.
give it time to recover, your problem is not one that needs a quick reaction, it looks like it just needs some time to adjust.

Thankyou so much for your reply! I was a bit worried about not having any new leaves and it being brown at the tip. I'll keep going as is, and see how it goes!

I'm in Melbourne, so it's cold LOL average temps this month is 17C (hence it living in the greenhouse), but it is getting warmer

Looks perfectly normal for an early spring plant. Keep warm as possible. Do not water too much. Too much water can rot the roots. When it warms up it will take off. Be patient.
