Default Now why did my banana tree suddenly stop growing?

It's a young tree, about 3 feet tall. It was growing like crazy since just after we got it (about 2 months ago), but suddenly it stopped cold, and all leaves except the 4 latest ones started dying. Those 4 look fine.
It's in an extra large pot. I gave it lots of manure to start with, but does it need more maybe? If pictures would help, I'll be glad to post some.

Is that manure composted? It might be too strong for a potted plant.

It was old goat manure, that had been out in the field a while. So not exactly composted, but probably not "hot" either.

I figured it out, lol. It was growing so fast because we had lots of rain (which is unusual for summertime here). Storm after storm after storm. It was during a dry spell that it stopped. Yesterday I thought of that and watered it; and then last night it rained. Voila! It's growing again like I flipped a switch.
