![]() I'm not sure if this is a problem or not.
The Ice Cream Bananas that were growing under very poor conditions, that I subsequently transplanted to another location, are loosing their older leaves down to the bottom of the sheath. The sheaths are pulling away from the plant's stem. ![]() ![]() Is this normal for an Ice Cream type, or a result of the poor growing conditions when these leaves developed, or ...??? I transplanted a dozen or so plants. Almost all are doing this. |

![]() OK, thanks guys.
I guess I'll stop worrying about them. It just looks so different from what the Dwarf Brazilians are doing. And, they're my only experience with bananas, other than these ice creams. They do seem to be growing strongly now. I can almost see a difference daily, ... almost. |

![]() All mine do that in the winter in the greenhouse, and right after they are put outside, just trim em off.
