I've had something similar, not as bad, on some of my plants. These were all greenhouse plants,so I was thinking spider mites.

They look burnt. Intense heat?

May be a bad case of spider mites. Did you see any webs? Personally I would spray with Neem Oil.

I think there's a combo problem here.. but Tony is partially right.. We also have a black fly and beetles and a goofy looking bug I need to get a picture of. :^)

that is spider mites for sure! If you have any other bugs besides the spider mites on there though, they might be beneficial insects that have found the spider mites and are munching on them. Watch and see what the other bugs are doing on there, whether they are eating on the leaves, or crawling on the damaged silvery areas and munching there. If they are eating the leaves, spray the plant with 1 T suave shampoo and 1T cooking oil in a gallon of water. If they are eating the bad bugs, then leave them and let nature take it's course, just mist the bottom side of the leaves with some water. Spider mites hate moisture.
