Question How to get rid of bugs..

Hi! Any tips on how to properly get rid of bugs out of plants that have to be dug up out of the ground and put in a pot? So I can bring the plants safely inside for the winter. I hate bugs and don’t want them in my house!

Do you know what type of bugs are on the plants ? Are the bugs around the roots or are they or on the leaves ?

Thanks for your reply! What I meant is b/c the plants are in the ground there will be all sorts of bugs running around under ground. So because of that they could be hiding not just in the soil that gets dug up with the plant. See, last year I think I must not have removed every last little bit of dirt from the ground off the roots/rootball. This could explain a bit of the reason I kept finding bugs in my house last year. However, is it possible for bugs to some how live in the plants like the corms? So even if you clear off all he remaining dirt off plant from the ground there still cold be bugs inside of plant? Anyway, I had tons of pill bugs(looks like an armadillo), spiders, worms and most disgusting of all earthworms! It was so gross to see on the bottom of the containers the plants were in over winter big disgusting earthworms!
