Ensete maurelii - Slow Growth....
So my ensete maurelii has maybe grown half a foot since I got it in March. It I put it in a 10" plastic pot, and it has maybe grown a foot and has about 9 leafs unfurled, gets full Texas sun (zone 8a) about 8 hours a day and a decent watering every night. I have fertilized it a 3 or 4 times with 17-5-24.
What am I doing wrong??!! I was hoping for this lady to be the star of my patio but she is a baby compared to my huge cavendish bananas right next to it. I guess I was expecting similar growth pattern. Any tips would be appreciated! |
